| DAYTIME SWORDFISH COMBOS
Electric fishing reels have become the standard for daytime swordfishing! Catching swordfish, especially some of the real big boys that have been coming to the docks of late is not a sport to take lightly. Not every electric reel can handle it, as a matter of fact, very few can. Until VERY recently (the past year really), all the electric fishing reels on the market were designed to clip on a multi-hook rig with a very heavy weight, drop it to the bottom and haul in a string of modest size fish. As you know, swordfish are a gamefish and require the proper gear that will handle them as such. A high-power motor, large line capacity and most importantly a strong, smooth drag system to handle the incredible runs is an absolute must. With that said, there are very few electric fishing reels that will handle the job. The rods the electric reels are mounted to are also of vital importance, again, you will not be pulling in a couple of 15 pound tilefish from 700's of water. All the rods I sell are custom built FOR YOU… IN HOUSE and they are designed for handling the extreme rigors of swordfishing. There is no charge for any color change or name on the rod(s). All combos are spooled with Jerry Brown Hollow Core line for ease of making wind-on leaders and replacing broken off or frayed line without completely re-spooling (a huge value down the road!). Swordfish Electric 1: Daiwa Dendoh Marine Power MP3000 with Custom 130 Bent Butt Black/Gold, spooled with 3500 feet of 130# Jerry Brown Hollow Core. Bar-none, this is the daytime electric reel swordfish combo! The mighty Daiwa MP3000, approx. the size of an International or Tiagra 80, is the ONLY ELECTRIC REEL which allows you to have a manual crank handle.
