The Kristal XL 601 is smallest, lightest and most compact of the Kristal family, but don't let the size fool you! The XL 601 is a very powerful reel designed for a wide variety of applications. Ideal for deepwater sea bass, light tilefish, yelloweye, cod, snapper, and light duty grouper. Also an excellent high-torque kite reel. The XL 601 is best suited for fishing depths less than 600' and occasional deeper use. This is the only Kristal I would recommend for use when holding the rod.
